"When will it be summer? I want the corona to be over."

As much fun as staying home from school might sound to the kids, we can tell it’s taking a toll. The inability to see their friends, go out to eat, go to trampoline parks, or do anything other than what’s available at the house is slowly making them realize that this might not be the great vacation they originally thought it was. They’re making the best of it, but it means a different routine than normal. For example, part of every day is spent going through an exercise routine since we can’t go to soccer or gymnastics.
We also spend time playing games together. Siblings may not be as much as fun as friends, but they’ll do when no other options are available.
It’s been raining a lot lately, but on the nice days the kids will get outside for bike rides or walks around the pond.
And then there’s arts and crafts. One of this week’s projects was creating mouse pads for the computers so they could do their online learning in style.
While this hasn’t been easy, and doesn’t look to be ending soon, we’re incredibly grateful for being in the position we’re in. We’ve stayed healthy, we have food, and the kids have each other. If we have to be quarantined, it’s good to be quarantined together.
