"A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way."
-Mark Twain
When not playing with Mommy, Ashlyn has been doing her best to teach her younger brother the rules of the house. One of those rules is “don’t pull the cat’s tail”. This is a rule that Ashlyn learned very quickly when Nala nipped her for it. James, on the other hand, does not learn so quickly and Nala is too stubborn to stay away.
Ashlyn has discovered that she is now coordinated enough to skate around the house on her Razor Scooter. James has discovered that he is not fast enough to catch up to Ashlyn on her Razor Scooter. It’s good exercise for both of them though, so we have no complaints.
Grandma and Grandpa are about to leave for an Alaskan cruise, so we went over for dinner on Saturday night to see them off in the only way we know now: by over-running their house with children. As with all good grandparents, they didn’t mind. We also used the visit to continue our lessons on James and cats. It didn’t work.
We didn’t have enough grandparent time on Saturday so we went over to Nina and Papa’s on Sunday to swim, see Aunt Sisa, and play with cousin Ben. Ashlyn had a great time in the pool as always, and James had fun chasing the dogs around.
