Books, rockets, and primaries…

"We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves."
-Galileo Galilei

Note:  This will be shorter than normal.  The kids spent the weekend with Nina and Papa while we attended a conference and we don’t have near as many pictures as we normally would.

We usually eat dinner at the kitchen table but this week the kids wanted to spend one dinner at the little table so they could watch TV.  If you think they wanted to watch a movie or cartoon, you would be wrong.

They wanted to watch primaries while they rooted for their favorite candidate.  I love these kids.

There were also several sweet moments where Ashlyn was doing her best to teach her baby sister.  It started with Ashlyn showing Isla how a rocket was traveling across the sky on its way to deliver a satellite to space.  Then she sat down on a chair and read a book to her.  That’s some good big sistering right there.

Thanks Nina and Papa for watching the kids, they had a great time.  Now I need to get them to sleep, I suspect they need to catch up on it.
