PePa: “James, what are you doing?”
James: “Trying to get the mosquitos to bite me so they won't bite Mommy.”
Uncle John and Aunt Kristen were in town and everyone gathered at Nina and Papa’s house to spend time together. While we were there, James got another round of gifts from his cousins. It was great to see everyone, and we’re looking forward to seeing Uncle Scott and Aunt Fonda in a few weeks.
The kids took a break from the parties to go hiking. While they were out, Mommy snapped a quick photo of them posing on a tree.
Mommy took the kids to play some mini-golf for some summertime fun. They enjoyed about half of it before they started getting a little bored, but they had a lot of fun all the same. It’s a good thing the ornaments are kid proof.
When the weekend rolled around again it was time for more family and presents. It started with a breakfast visit from PePa. Ashlyn made pancakes while PePa supervised. After breakfast James got to open another present that allowed him to grow his Minecraft collection.
On Sunday, Grandma and Grampa came over as a joint birthday party for James and Grandpa. We cooked dinner, had ice cream cake, and destroyed a piñata filled with candy and toys. We also got to play outside for awhile and enjoy a warm summer evening. Happy birthday Grandpa and James!
