"How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"
-Satchel Paige
It was inevitable that in a house full of girls that Daddy would get the daughter hair treatment and Ashlyn decided that the Cowboys game would be a good opportunity for it. I was of course very excited by this and I’m contemplating going with this new look for work on Monday.
Ashlyn has been asking to go to Chuck E. Cheese’s for months now and we finally decided to cave in since the weather was pretty crummy. The kids loved it, and since they’re older now we were able to do more than just the little “turn in circle” rides. Ashlyn scored over 100 tickets from various games and was kind enough to share them with James to get some fantastic prizes at the end. By “fantastic” I mean two very loud whistles and some spin tops. Yay!
Since my birthday was Sunday the kids were able to have fun wrapping presents. They were very proud of their accomplishment.
After spending all that time wrapping they were more than willing to rip the paper right off again. Isla even got in on the action. It’s great to have some helpful children who made the birthday a good one.
Without going into too much detail on a public blog, James was very excited that he accomplished something in the potty that he’s been struggling with. Good job buddy!
And because I like having smiling Isla pictures on the blog, I’m including one below.
