"The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable."
-Lane Olinghouse
This week will be a little lighter in terms of pictures. James decided to grow three new molars this past week and it has not left with the energy to follow children around with a camera. James was also exhausted from his all night fussiness. When I wasn’t looking, he decided that it would be a good idea to drink the coffee that I was enjoying. It worked on James much quicker than me.
James is still doing his best to be a monkey and is crawling on everything in the house. This week he added a toy and the dishwasher to his list of climbs.
Sunday was breakfast with PePa day, and it had both kids in a good mood for the rest of the afternoon. They played together under the table in what Ashlyn has deemed the “book room”, and it continued through lunch where she and James entertained each other over PB&J sandwiches.
Sunday was also organizing day at the Flinn house, I think we purchased half the items in stock at our local Container Store. James did his best to be a good helper while I installed shelving, but mostly he tried to crawl into to the cabinet to see what I was doing. At least he was trying.
While James was helping me with the shelf, Ashlyn was helping Mom with the pantry and dinner. It’s interesting to note that all the cookies ended up on the bottom shelf in easy reach for a three year old curly haired girl.
Here’s hoping to getting some sleep this week.
