"Daddy, I got my finger stuck in my teeth."

For reading 500 minutes as part of the HEB Reads program the kids were given free passes to Bedford Splash. They were able to practice their new swimming skills, ride the slides, and enjoy some ice cream during a break. Not a bad way to spend some time in the water.
There’s no better way to cool off from the summer heat than stumbling over a sheet of ice. And that’s what we did, bundling the kids up in jackets and gloves to go ice skating. Ashlyn and James both went around without buckets, while Isla used a combination of buckets and Daddy. We had some falls, but everyone had a great time.
While the older two kids were at camps, Isla played with Mommy. The three pictures below are just a snippet of everything they’ve been up to but it’s safe to say that Isla has been enjoying the time even if she isn’t quite old enough for camps yet.
We finished the weekend visiting Nina and Papa to swim and wish Nina a happy birthday. Nina liked the arts and crafts, and the kids always have fun swimming. Happy birthday Nina!!
