"They gave me a medal!"

The kids insisted on going ice skating one more time, maybe they were inspired by the dropping temperatures. No matter the motivation, they all had fun skating and falling around the ice.
This Saturday after gymnastics practice Isla had a “mock meet”, which is basically a pretend meet amongst the girls in her class to get them some exposure to how a meet works. The girls went through each of the four events where the coaches instructed them what to do. Isla said she was nervous before it started, but she had fun once things got going. She did great, especially on vault and bars where she scored a 9.7 and 9.85. They also gave out medals to the girls at the end, and Isla was incredibly excited to get her first medal after seeing her big sister get so many.
